Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage and bones. Manganese contributes to normal connective tissue formation and to the maintenance of normal bones.

Devil’s claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) is a plant from the dry regions of southern Africa. The devil’s claw root extract used is standardised to 4% harpagoside – equivalent to 8.4 mg harpagosides per daily dose. Harpagosides are iridoid glycosides and are considered characteristic compounds of devil’s claw. Horsetail (Equisetum) provides plant-based silicon – the extract is standardised to 10% silica; nettle (Urtica dioica) contributes to the formula as an additional silicon source with an extract standardised to 2% silica. Rosehip provides natural vitamin C; goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea) is a well-known plant of the European herbal tradition.
